“In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. And the word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (Jh. 1:1,14)
Jesus Christ is God the Son, one with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He is the second person in the Trinity which forms the Divine Unity.
Jesus is God’s proper name, the Author of the covenant. “ I Am has sent Me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.” (Ex. 3:14.15)
Jesus Christ is God’s wisdom, arm and strength. As the Son, He is the image of the invisible Father –and not in His image as Man-. He has the splendor of a natural likeness to Him and the brightness of His glory.
Who has known Him has known has known the Father. Who has seen Him has seen the Father
He has the honor and the greatness of the first born…. of all creation, the only eternal begotten Son. (C0l. 1:15,16 & Heb. 1:4) He has a being and existed before all time, space, place, things and works. He has the same substance and essence as the Father. They act together as one.
He has been given all authority in heaven and on earth. And He is the agent of creation. Jesus Christ is the Logos, the Word by Whom the Father did what was and is done. He made the upper and lower worlds and all angels as well as human beings. “By the Word of the Lord the heavens were made and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.” (Ps. 33:6) “All things were made through Him and without Him nothing was made that was made.” (Jh. 1:3)
Jesus Christ is called “Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Is. 9:6) He is “faithful and just.” He is “a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles.” (Lu.2:32) His name is Immanuel, “which is translated ‘God with us.’ (Matt. 1:23)
Jesus Christ is the center of the Scriptures and the prophecies from Genesis to Revelation.
Jesus Christ is the axis, the corner stone, the sun of righteousness and the bright morning star. He is the last Adam who is life-giving spirit. He is light, life, hope and joy. He has light and life in Himself and He is their source, and in Him they exist. As He is the proper object of faith, hope and love and He laid their foundation.
Through Jesus Christ all living creatures live and move.
Jesus Christ gives the light of the knowledge of God’s glory to all those who sit in the darkness of sin and wickedness and He brings life to all those who are in ‘the shadow of death’ and the capture of Satan; He “guides our feet into the way of peace” (Lu.1:79) and His truth makes us free indeed. (Jh. 8:32,36)
The light of mind, logic, reason and wisdom as well as the life senses are extended and deprived from Him.
All grace, truth love and He laid their foundation, goodness, righteousness and power are taken and received from Him.
Jesus Christ is the eternal permanent Savior of Man and the world. He is the sinner’s substitute on the cross. He is the redeemer, mediator, advocate of Man and his righteous judge at the same time.
Through Him the Father produces Man’s sanctification and justification. Through Him the Father’s great work for Man’s salvation from sin and entire loss, and his joyful future was made and completed. Through His sufferings, blood and redemptive action on the cross, He made possible the new relation and fellowship between God and Man.
Jesus Christ showed God’s love to mankind and opened the gate to Heaven and everlasting life. He is the head of resurrection and the source of salvation.
Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the anointed King, the holy Prophet and the high Priest.
Jesus Christ is the establisher of the Spiritual Kingdom and the New Testament ‘covenant’ with mankind and for mankind, with all those who have faith in Him regardless of race, color, language, abilities and categories.
Jesus Christ is the head of the body of the Church. Through Him the inheritance of all the believers remains and endures for ever.
Jesus Christ is the true vine nurturing for fruitfulness. He is the Good Shepherd of those who are His sheep and depend on Him.
Jesus Christ is the fullness of God’s revelation. He reveals God’s love, fatherhood, future purposes, righteous plans and thoughts.
Jesus Christ is really divine. He is fully human and truly God forever and ever.
Jesus Christ is God who incarnated and appeared in flesh 2005 years ago, so that an angel with a multitude of the Heavenly hosts preached to the world the message of Heaven and evangelized to it the great joyful news and praised God saying:
“Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, goodwill toward man.” (Lu.2:14) Amen.
